In some societies, machines automate many processes. It only makes sense, then, that some would attempt to automate the act of murder. Most manufacturers would never admit to creating such designs, forcing wealthy figures to go through hidden channels to acquire units from secret facilities or unscrupulous manufacturers. Regardless of their origins, these robots can be programmed with a target and set loose, the owner assured that either their target will be dead or will be unable to prove who tried to kill them thanks to the unit's fried circuitry.
