Many poor souls who encounter a gnackle don't realize until it's too late. These gremlins relish watching other creatures suffer humiliating failure and often spend weeks or longer selecting and grooming a victim into bringing out their own downfall. After reading their target's mind to learn what they want most, gnackles then magically disguise themselves, presenting to their target as a fairy godmother or similar granter of wishes and convincing their victims of some great destiny. They offer a magical “gift” and encourage the target toward acts of greater and greater ambition. However, once gnackles deem their victims in a suitably embarrassing or dangerous situation, they twist the gift into a terrible curse.

False Confidence Aura (

18 Will save. On a failure, the creature gains a +1 status bonus to attack rolls and skill checks while in the aura, but if it misses an attack roll or fails a skill check while in the aura, it loses that bonus and instead takes a –2 status penalty to all attack rolls and skill checks for 1 minute. After 1 minute has elapsed, or if a creature succeeds at its save, the creature becomes temporarily immune to that gnackle's aura for 24 hours.

Gremlin's "Gift"
[two-actions]
(curseprimal)
A gnackle can imbue a willing creature with a magical gift of talent for 24 hours, imparting a +2 status bonus to checks with a specific skill, chosen when this ability is used. The gnackle always knows when the creature attempts checks with the chosen skill and, at any time, can choose to invert the gift to instead immediately impart a –4 status penalty to all checks attempted with that skill for 1 minute, after which the creature is no longer affected by this ability.
All Creatures in "Gremlin"
Gremlins have plagued the Universe with cruel tricks since long before the Gap, and they’ve fully adapted to a galaxy filled with technology. Whether meddling with a comm unit, a starship, or an entire space station, gremlins delight in ruination and chaos.
