The lowly botnib, also called a computer glitch gremlin, is intuitively tied with the computerized devices and networks of the modern age. These cavorting fey make it their mission to create as much havoc as they can by influencing computer systems and creating chaos in their wake. Known for their innate ability to communicate with digital devices, computer glitch gremlins routinely become infatuated with such systems, which they subvert like one might put together a fun puzzle.
Digital Telepathy A glitch gremlin can communicate telepathically with digital devices and with other creatures that can do so (such as other glitch gremlins). This allows the glitch gremlin to attempt Computers checks to access any computer within the telepathy's range. Techsense (detection, primal) The glitch gremlin can sense items and creatures with the tech trait within 100 feet.

Creatures with the tech trait, unattended items with the tech trait, or creatures holding equipment with the tech trait that start their turn in the aura must attempt a DC 16 Will save.

Gremlins have plagued the Universe with cruel tricks since long before the Gap, and they’ve fully adapted to a galaxy filled with technology. Whether meddling with a comm unit, a starship, or an entire space station, gremlins delight in ruination and chaos.
Other Gremlins
Many types of gremlins exist across the galaxy. Mech gremlins are an odd, solitary species who often take possession of incredibly powerful machines and wreak destruction on civilizations despite their own physical weaknesses. Infosphere gremlins are entirely digital beings who act more akin to hazards than creatures, but their presence can corrupt data across wide area networks and disrupt entire outposts with misinformation.
Gremlin Signs
Some gremlins leave telltale signs of their presence, intentionally or otherwise. Most botnibs aren't subtle and can't resist leaving behind evidence of their sabotage. Their work is most obvious in vidgames, where glitch gremlins have been known to replace antagonists with likenesses of themselves, only to delete the saved data of players who fail to defeat the virtual menace. Signs of a gubbin infection include computer viruses or glitches that are inane and obnoxious but otherwise harmless. Clangits sometimes steal clothing from larger space station crew members and fashion coveralls or flight suits for themselves. They're also fascinated by tools and frequently steal them; some clangits name their favorite tools like one would name a pet, collect dozens of a certain type of tool, or display them like trophies.
