SFS Standard Young Akashic Dragon Creature 8

Though rarely encountered outside their crumbling, relic-filled lairs, Akashic dragons occasionally live in hubs of knowledge, such as bustling space stations or cities. These dragons, bestowed with a direct connection to the Akashic Record, are arrogant curators of knowledge, assuming (often correctly) that no other being could possibly have a deeper understanding of the universe's secrets. Akashic dragons spend extensive time in the Akashic Record, often emerging after what they perceive as many days while mere hours have passed for the rest of the galaxy.

Akashic Interference (aura, occult) 90 feet. The swirl of constant uploads and downloads near the Akashic dragon make attempts to Recall Knowledge unpredictable. A creature other than an akashic dragon that enters or begins its turn in the area must attempt a DC 23 Will save. Regardless of the result of the saving throw, the creature is temporarily immune to this dragon's Akashic interference for 1 minute.
Critical SuccessFor 1 round, when the creature attempts to Recall Knowledge, it gains a +3 status bonus to its check.

Deflecting Lasers [reaction] (occult) Trigger The dragon is critically hit by an attack; Effect The young Akashic dragon raises a web of deflecting lasers using the eyes embedded all over their body, gaining resistance 8 to all damage against the triggering attack and absorbing some of the blow's energy, recharging their Akashic Barrage. If the Akashic dragon has succeeded at a Recall Knowledge check against the creature in the last minute, they gain resistance 11 instead.

Akashic Adaptability The Akashic dragon can activate magic and tech items with the Cast a Spell activation of any tradition as if the spells they contain were occult spells.
Akashic Barrage [two-actions] (firementaloccult) The dragon condenses cutting truths and fiery revelations from the Akashic Record into sizzling laser fire that they project as a cone from their primary eye to assail their foes. This deals 10d6 fire damage in a 30-foot cone (DC 26 basic Reflex save). If a creature critically fails its Reflex save against Akashic Barrage and the Akashic dragon has succeeded at a check to Recall Knowledge about the creature in the last minute, the creature becomes stupefied 1 for 1 round. The dragon can't use Akashic Barrage again for 1d4 rounds.
Draconic Frenzy [two-actions] The dragon makes two claw Strikes and one tail Strike in any order.
Draconic Momentum The dragon recharges their Akashic Barrage whenever they score a critical hit with a Strike.
Records of the Enemy The first time each encounter the Akashic dragon hits and deals damage to a creature with their jaws Strike, they receive information about the creature as if they'd succeeded at a check to Recall Knowledge about that creature.

All Creatures in "Dragon"

Dragon

All dragons across the galaxy are fierce, cunning, and strongly connected to magic. Many dragons, especially those who trace their lineage to pre-Gap worlds, are confined to the planets where they’re born and live their long lives without ever traveling to other worlds. Spacefaring people have had increasingly frequent encounters with creatures once known as “outer dragons,” those who can travel through the vastness of space. Now, most people simply call them “dragons,” though dragons who aren’t native to the planet they’re visiting (or invading) might be called “alien dragons” by the people contending with them. Whatever their origin, these alien dragons, like others who have existed for millennia, grow in size, strength, willpower, and magical might as they age.

Draconic Spellcasters

To make a dragon spellcaster, remove the dragon's Draconic Frenzy and draconic momentum abilities, and give them the spells outlined in their associated sidebar. You can swap out any number of these spells with others on a one-for-one basis. You might also increase the dragon's Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma modifier by 1 or 2 to reflect their mastery of magic.

Shape-Changing Dragons

Though it's uncommon, some dragons can take humanoid forms. They gain the following ability.
Change Shape [one-action] (concentrate, polymorph) The dragon takes on the appearance of any Small or Medium humanoid. This doesn't change their Speed or attack and damage bonuses with their Strikes but might change the damage type their Strikes deal (typically to bludgeoning).

Akashic Dragon Lairs

Akashic dragons spend a great deal of time visiting the plane of the Akashic Record itself, but when they make their own lairs, they prefer abandoned sites of scholarly import, such as libraries, monasteries, and museums.
