SFS Standard Ordinance-Class Civil Robot Creature 0

Ordinance-class civil robots exist to help others learn the local laws, navigate around a location, and generally remind everyone to follow the rules. What they lack in raw strength, they make up for with an extensive database of knowledge. Most of these robots are designed to mimic the shape of prevalent humanoid ancestries, and thus the standard configuration for such robots includes two arms and two legs. Some have been modified with extra attachments, providing maps produced from a rectangular opening in their chest plate or featuring touchscreens that allow passersby to consult every ordinance, law, and other legal documents relevant to the area.

Some pranksters enjoy leaving doodles and other drawings in spots the robot can't easily detect, and thus an ordinance-class civil robot that has been operating for an extensive period of time can be found with a rainbow of shapes, colors, and the occasional advertisement placed on its back.

Photographic Recall (concentrateexploration) After receiving a request for information about a named location or a local law from a non-hostile creature, the ordinance-class robot spends 5 minutes to consult its database, automatically succeeding at a Recall Knowledge check to answer the question. At the GM's discretion, the information might not be available to the robot.
Scrutinize [two-actions] The ordinance-class civil robot scans all creatures in a 15-foot cone, attempting a single Legal Lore check and comparing the result to the Deception DC of each creature in the area. If the robot succeeds and the creature is known to have broken local laws, the robot gains a +1 circumstance bonus to Strikes and Athletics checks to Grapple the creature for 24 hours.

Robot, Civil

Civil robots can be found in almost any large settlement, employed by the local government. They aren't meant to function as keepers of the peace, but instead perform minor functions, such as collecting refuse, aiding citizens with information, or collecting taxes. However, they can still defend themselves against vandals if necessary.

Calling for Backup

Ordinance-class civil robots usually operate individually, but they're never far away from assistance. When help is needed, an ordinance-class civil robot can wirelessly contact allied robots in the vicinity. The types of robots that commonly respond to the call tend to be security robots, and non-robotic security forces might accompany them.
Ordinance-class civil robots have access to criminal databases and are often consulted by bounty hunters to gain information on targets. However, such requests must be approached either in a roundabout manner or by hacking the robot.
