Dwarf Heritages

A dwarf's heritage often depends on their clan. Choose one of the following dwarf heritages at 1st level.

SFS Restricted Citadel Dwarf

You're part of a renowned mining clan that tunnels into planets, moons, and asteroids for rare minerals. You become trained in Survival. If you would automatically become trained in Survival (from your background or class, for example), you instead become trained in a skill of your choice. When you critically succeed at a Survival check to Earn Income by mining, you uncover a vein of highly valuable minerals. The next time you use Survival to Earn Income in the same location, you treat the task level as 1 higher. If you're a master in Survival, you treat the task level as 2 higher, and if you're legendary in survival, you treat the task level as 4 higher. The DC for the task remains the same.

SFS Standard Deep Space Hyrngar

You're a hryngar, one of the subterranean dwarves of Golarion's Darklands who rejected the Quest for Sky. Droskar, the outcast god of toil and tyranny, forged your ancestors' society into cruel hierarchies. Today, some hryngars honor Droskar by participating in a variety of schemes, from casinos to repo operations, along with shady professions such as cryptobroker and loan shark.

You have an attribute bonus to Charisma and a flaw to Wisdom rather than the other way around (unless you choose two free attribute boosts instead of the usual boosts and flaw). You become trained in Deception. If you would automatically become trained in Deception (from your background or class, for example), you instead become trained in a skill of your choice. If a creature owes you money or has caused you significant financial loss, you have a +1 circumstance bonus to Deception checks to Lie to them, to Perception DCs against attempts to Lie to you, and to Intimidation checks to Coerce or Demoralize them.

SFS Standard Industrial Dwarf

Whether working vast ale vats or overseeing robotics factories, your clan has long honed its trade through technology. You gain the Additional Lore feat for your clan's primary industry (such as Warfare Lore). When you Craft a common item of your level or lower that's associated with this industry, you automatically know the formula and can use the Lore skill in place of Crafting. Your proficiency in this Lore makes you eligible for Crafting skill feat prerequisites, but only while you're interacting with items related to your clan's industry.

SFS Standard Questbound Dwarf

Your clan has dedicated itself to galactic exploration aboard a dwarven generation ship like the Star Citadel Ironstar as part of the New Quest for Sky. Decades in space have left you more familiar with navigating stars than tunnels. You become trained in Piloting. If you would automatically become trained in Piloting (from your background or class, for example), you instead become trained in a skill of your choice. If you succeed at a Piloting check to Navigate or Plot Course, you get a critical success instead. You also gain a +1 circumstance bonus to Piloting checks made to Recall Knowledge about starships.

SFS Standard Salvation's End Dwarf

You grew up on Golarion, following Torag's Quest for Sky. One day, a group of strangers arrived, claiming to be from the surface… and the stars beyond. These “starfinders” told your clan, Clan Marbleheart, that you lived inside a simulation. Your whole reality was a lie created by the guiding intelligence of the artificial moon of Salvation's End. Though Clan Marbleheart has escaped and is slowly integrating with other dwarves, you are displaced in time and might never truly understand the galaxy you've been thrust into. You have familiarity with archaic weapons. For the purposes of proficiency, treat one martial archaic weapon of your choice as a simple weapon or an advanced archaic weapon as a martial weapon. If that weapon has the dwarf trait and you succeed at a saving throw against a fear effect while wielding it, you get a critical success instead. Otherwise, that weapon gains the dwarf trait as long as you wield it.

Versatile Heritages

The peoples of the Pact Worlds (and other worlds in the galaxy) are many, and they have a long history of intermingling or dabbling with forces capable of altering the very fabric of a mortal body or soul. The children born to such parents might have traits from each of their parents or physiological manifestations of the forces their ancestors were influenced by, manifesting as a specific heritage.

SFS Standard Borai

You've returned from the brink of death as a borai— at once both living and undead. You gain the borai and undead trait, in addition to the traits from your ancestry. Unlike other undead, you don't gain void healing. You're healed by vitality effects and damaged by void damage, as if you were a living creature. Likewise, you can be stabilized, healed, and brought back to life as if you were a living creature, save that you always return to life in your normal undead state (as a borai). You gain low-light vision, or you gain darkvision if your ancestry already has low-light vision. You can choose from borai feats and feats from your ancestry whenever you gain an ancestry feat.

SFS Standard Corpsefolk

You are a reanimated corpse. Your undead nature might physically manifest in gray or pale skin, eyes that turn solid black or white, or an unnatural elongation of the fingernails (or similar appendages). You gain the corpsefolk and undead traits, in addition to the traits from your ancestry. You gain low-light vision, or you gain darkvision if your ancestry already has low-light vision. You can choose from corpsefolk feats and feats from your ancestry whenever you gain an ancestry feat.

SFS Standard Gap-Touched

The Gap has subsumed some part of you and left you with weird powers and jarring existential issues, while giving you a unique ability to perceive the history obscured by the Gap. You gain the Gap-touched trait, in addition to the traits from your ancestry. You can choose from Gap-touched feats and feats from your ancestry whenever you gain an ancestry feat. You gain the Additional Lore general feat for Gap Lore. You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to saving throws against mental effects.

SFS Standard Prismeni

You have an innate connection to the Drift. You gain the prismeni trait, in addition to the traits from your ancestry. While you're in the Drift, you can automatically pinpoint the location of Drift beacons, Drift lanes, Drift engines, and other Drift-related technology within a 100-mile radius. If you're Piloting a starship that doesn't have a Drift engine, you can serve as a connection between the Drift and that starship. This is a 1-minute activity that has the concentrate trait, and it allows the starship you're Piloting to enter or exit the Drift. Once within the Drift, the starship travels via conventional thrusters, as normal. When you get a critical failure on a Piloting check to Navigate or Plot Course through the Drift, you get a failure instead. You gain low-light vision, or you gain darkvision if your ancestry already has low-light vision. You can choose from prismeni feats and feats from your ancestry whenever you gain an ancestry feat.

SFS Standard Xenometric Android

You're a constructed version of a non-human ancestry. You gain the android trait, in addition to the trait associated with the ancestry you resemble. You gain the constructed ability but not the low-light vision ability of androids. In addition, your size category and reach changes to match the chosen ancestry. You can select from android feats up to 13th level, any of the feats of the ancestry you resemble, or xenometric android feats whenever you gain an ancestry feat. Choose a heritage from your ancestry, but you don't gain its mechanical benefits. The xenometric android heritage shouldn't be taken by a member of a constructed ancestry, such as android, or a human.
