It might seem a bit cowardly, but sometimes having a living shield is practical and advantageous for both parties. You can use your smaller allies for cover while gaining an offensive advantage as well. When you Take Cover behind an ally between you and a target you can reach, you gain the benefits of standard cover, even if your ally is smaller than you. If your ally is also threatening the target, you’re both considered to be flanking the target.
