Noqual Cocoons

Despite its glassy appearance, an akata's cocoon is made of a rare starmetal known as noqual. Noqual is as hard as iron and has many applications in modern manufacturing since it's easy to work with, resistant to magic, and lightweight. Unfortunately, the noqual that forms an akata's cocoon is too low quality for most engineering projects, but it sometimes finds a home with collectors or museums instead.
