Anacite Wingbot Creature -1

Anacite wingbots are common. Little more than drones, wingbots are piloted by virtual intelligences (VI) programmed to serve Insight Array and their representatives. Transmitters spaced regularly across most of Aballon's megaplexes allow wingbots to record their constantly running video feeds to their VI “handlers” at all times. The solar panels that line a wingbot's wings allow it to recharge while on the move.

Always Watching Anacite wingbots are always recording and uploading their feed through shortwave as long as they're within range of a transmitter. An anacite wingbot can project a hologram of the live footage they're recording or play back a video of anything they've recorded, which appears in the air nearby as the spell illusory scene.
Shortwave The anacite can communicate using wireless shortwave signals. This functions as telepathy with other creatures who have shortwave and with creatures with both the construct and tech traits.
Sunlight Dependency Anacites are solar powered; they're perpetually glitching 1 while in areas of darkness and must recharge daily in direct sunlight or risk shutting down completely.

Trill [two-actions] The wingbot creates a shrill trilling noise accompanied by disturbing low-level vibrations and electromagnetic pulses tuned to disrupt non-anacite creatures. Each non-anacite creature within 30 feet must attempt a DC 13 Fortitude save. The targets then become temporarily immune to the wingbot's Trill for 24 hours.
FailureCreatures with the tech trait become glitching 1, while non-tech creatures become sickened 1.
Critical FailureAs failure, but glitching or sickened 2.

Anacite

Recording the countless forms and upgrades anacites have taken in the long period since their creators abandoned them would be impossible, as nearly every shape and function one might imagine can be found among this industrious species.

Many anacites share common design principles, such as silvery, metallic bodies, multiple legs, and forms that resemble arthropods. They often have grasping claws to accomplish generic tasks, though some might have limbs or appendages suited to extremely specific purposes. The most basic anacites, such as wingbots, who lack minds of their own, are the most likely to look “standardized,” but most anacites are unique. Their specific role might dictate that an anacite must be able to lift heavy loads, in which case the anacite might resemble a forklift more than a bug or perhaps have the features of both. Anacite culture prizes innovation, and most anacites view their bodies and programming as no exception, always willing to try new parts and builds or download skill modules to broaden their horizons.

The other types of anacites most often found in Striving include bulky laborers, spindly bureaucrats, and civil servants of all types. In neighborhoods that cater mostly to off-worlders and organics, some anacites have specialized roles to make the area more appealing to non-anacite life. Such anacites might receive assignments from Insight Array to “visit every club and eatery in the area,” “chat with strangers in public spaces,” or “routinely ask tourists for help crossing the street.” These chosen anacites take these roles as seriously as any other.
