SFS Standard Necrolinked Wight Creature 1

Hollow-eyed undead born from those who died obsessing over social media, necrolinked wights wander both the living and virtual worlds, desperate for engagement and relevance. They're incapable of seeing living creatures as anything more than potential followers, hunting those who engage with technology in the hopes of turning them into obsessed fans. They constantly wail in a condensed magitech code as though screeching at some long-forgotten online debate in an attempt to grab the attention of others by overriding devices with content supernaturally configured to vie for attention. Yet as soon as their victims become necrolinked, they lose interest, driven by the same dark necrotic algorithm.

Aligned Comm Unit The comm unit of a necrolinked wight can be disabled for 1 hour with a successful DC 15 check to Disable a Device or Disable a System. A necrolinked wight with a disabled comm unit is slowed 1, gains a +6 bonus to Perception, and can't Check its Feed.
Social Media Addiction (divine) The necrolinked wight is driven by a desire to continue their cycles of spiteful hatred and media consumption on the infosphere. They spend their first action of each round to Check Feed. Eternally obsessed, a necrolinked wight will always try to stay within range of an active infosphere signal. A necrolinked wight with no infosphere access or perceived threats functions as if their aligned comm unit was disabled and does whatever it can to regain infosphere access.

Check Feed [one-action] (concentratetech) The necrolinked wight looks up information on their aligned comm unit about a specific creature using Computers instead of any other skill. On a success, the creature takes a –2 status penalty to its next Will save against necrotic transmission for 1 minute ( –3 status penalty on a critical success).
Necrotic Transmission (mentaloccultvisual) A creature that takes damage from a necrolinked wight's Shriek must succeed at a DC 15 Will save, or its subconscious is scanned and used to infect its non-augmentation tech items with a virus. Infected tech items display algorithmically generated content catering specifically to the creature's deepest desires, causing the creature to become off-guard as long as they're holding or wearing the tech item. On a critical failure, the creature is also fascinated, and all creatures and objects other than the tech item are concealed from the creature. The creature or its allies can end the effect on any specific tech item by Interacting to reboot the affected item and succeeding at a DC 15 Computers check; on a failure, the item becomes glitching 1 (glitching 2 on a critical failure).
Spawn Registration (occult) A living creature that dies while fascinated by necrotic transmission rises as a necrolinked wight after 1d4 rounds.
