Ysoki Heritages

Ysoki adapt to almost any environment throughout the galaxy. Some ysoki put down roots on different worlds or live entirely on board generation ships that sail the stars.

SFS Standard Akitonian Ysoki

You or your ancestors grew up on Akiton, scrapping crashed starships or combing junk heaps for treasures. You gain the trained proficiency rank in Crafting and can use Crafting instead of Thievery to Disable a Device. If you're already trained in Crafting, you instead gain the Quick Repair general feat.

SFS Standard Deep Ysoki

You’re accustomed to living in dark places, such as maintenance shafts, asteroids, and on distant moons and planetoids far from the sun. You gain darkvision.

SFS Standard Fierce Ysoki

You're a fierce ysoki, built differently from others with a bulkier body and sharp teeth. You gain an attribute boost to Strength instead of Dexterity and an attribute flaw to Dexterity instead of Strength. You gain 8 Hit Points from your ancestry instead of 6. Your jaws unarmed attack deals 1d8 piercing, is in the brawling group, and has the grapple and unarmed traits instead.

Pick On Someone My Size

SFS Standard Listener Ysoki

Your time near an Iridium Spire opened your mind to the Netherworld and tinged your fur silver, purple, or another unusual shade. You become trained in Occultism. If you would automatically become trained in Occultism (from your background or class, for example), you instead become trained in another skill of your choice. You gain the Listen action.

Grandmother's Curse

SFS Standard Longsnout Ysoki

The long snouts that run in your family give you a keener sense of smell than most ysoki. You gain imprecise scent with a range of 30 feet. This means you can use your sense of smell to determine a creature's location. The GM will usually double the range if you're downwind from the creature or halve the range if you're upwind.

In addition, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus to Perception checks to Seek a creature or object within the range of your scent.

SFS Standard Shipborn Ysoki

You were born aboard a starship, inside a space station's access corridors, or another similar environment. You gain the trained proficiency rank in Piloting. If you would automatically become trained in Piloting (from your background or class, for example), you become trained in another skill of your choice. If you get a success on a Piloting check to Navigate or Plot Course, you get a critical success instead.

You've adapted to maneuvering in close quarters. You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to Acrobatics checks to Tumble Through the spaces of Medium or larger enemies, and the presence of an enemy doesn't make the squares difficult terrain.

SFS Standard Test-Subject Ysoki

You're a test-subject ysoki, having survived extensive experiments on your body that have fundamentally altered your physiology. Choose from one of the following test-subject ysoki heritages.
Extra Limbs You have four arms, which allows you to wield and hold up to four hands' worth of weapons and equipment. At any time, one pair of hands is designated as your active hands. You can change this designation from one pair of hands to another by taking the Switch Hands action.
Psychic Augmentation You have a cranial transmitter. You gain limited telepathy, meaning you can communicate mentally with creatures within 30 feet. You can communicate only with creatures that share a language with you. This doesn't give you any access to their thoughts, and it communicates no more information than normal speech would.
Cybernetic Augmentation You're biologically infused with computer hookups. You gain the tech trait and become trained in Computers. If you would automatically become trained in Computers (from your background or class, for example), you instead become trained in another skill of your choice. You have a datajack that can't be removed and that doesn't use an augmentation slot, and you gain the Assurance skill feat for Computers.
Radioactive Exposure to extreme radiation changed your cellular composition. You aren't sickened from radiation sickness. You gain the Contaminate action.

Rat Retinal HUD

SFS Standard Tunnel Ysoki

Your incredibly small bones allow you to easily compress your body and squeeze through gaps, whether it's the space between walls to reach a severed data cable or the ductwork of a space station. You gain the Quick Squeeze feat, even if you aren't trained in Acrobatics. Tight spaces not tight enough to require the Squeeze action aren't difficult terrain for you.

Versatile Heritages

The peoples of the Pact Worlds (and other worlds in the galaxy) are many, and they have a long history of intermingling or dabbling with forces capable of altering the very fabric of a mortal body or soul. The children born to such parents might have traits from each of their parents or physiological manifestations of the forces their ancestors were influenced by, manifesting as a specific heritage.

SFS Standard Borai

You've returned from the brink of death as a borai— at once both living and undead. You gain the borai and undead trait, in addition to the traits from your ancestry. Unlike other undead, you don't gain void healing. You're healed by vitality effects and damaged by void damage, as if you were a living creature. Likewise, you can be stabilized, healed, and brought back to life as if you were a living creature, save that you always return to life in your normal undead state (as a borai). You gain low-light vision, or you gain darkvision if your ancestry already has low-light vision. You can choose from borai feats and feats from your ancestry whenever you gain an ancestry feat.

SFS Standard Corpsefolk

You are a reanimated corpse. Your undead nature might physically manifest in gray or pale skin, eyes that turn solid black or white, or an unnatural elongation of the fingernails (or similar appendages). You gain the corpsefolk and undead traits, in addition to the traits from your ancestry. You gain low-light vision, or you gain darkvision if your ancestry already has low-light vision. You can choose from corpsefolk feats and feats from your ancestry whenever you gain an ancestry feat.

SFS Standard Gap-Touched

The Gap has subsumed some part of you and left you with weird powers and jarring existential issues, while giving you a unique ability to perceive the history obscured by the Gap. You gain the Gap-touched trait, in addition to the traits from your ancestry. You can choose from Gap-touched feats and feats from your ancestry whenever you gain an ancestry feat. You gain the Additional Lore general feat for Gap Lore. You gain a +1 circumstance bonus to saving throws against mental effects.

SFS Standard Prismeni

You have an innate connection to the Drift. You gain the prismeni trait, in addition to the traits from your ancestry. While you're in the Drift, you can automatically pinpoint the location of Drift beacons, Drift lanes, Drift engines, and other Drift-related technology within a 100-mile radius. If you're Piloting a starship that doesn't have a Drift engine, you can serve as a connection between the Drift and that starship. This is a 1-minute activity that has the concentrate trait, and it allows the starship you're Piloting to enter or exit the Drift. Once within the Drift, the starship travels via conventional thrusters, as normal. When you get a critical failure on a Piloting check to Navigate or Plot Course through the Drift, you get a failure instead. You gain low-light vision, or you gain darkvision if your ancestry already has low-light vision. You can choose from prismeni feats and feats from your ancestry whenever you gain an ancestry feat.

SFS Standard Xenometric Android

You're a constructed version of a non-human ancestry. You gain the android trait, in addition to the trait associated with the ancestry you resemble. You gain the constructed ability but not the low-light vision ability of androids. In addition, your size category and reach changes to match the chosen ancestry. You can select from android feats up to 13th level, any of the feats of the ancestry you resemble, or xenometric android feats whenever you gain an ancestry feat. Choose a heritage from your ancestry, but you don't gain its mechanical benefits. The xenometric android heritage shouldn't be taken by a member of a constructed ancestry, such as android, or a human.
