Castrovel is a pristine jungle planet where thriving metropolises coexist in harmony with nature. Magical gateways called aiudara connect Castrovel's cities, which are governed by a planetary federation of elven councils, formian queens, and lashunta magnates. Castrovel's unique infosphere is a web of psychically linked minds; those without psychic senses connect by bonding with tiny psychic creatures called shefis.
Outsiders often see the lush planet of Castrovel as an “exotic” destination teeming with hot, humid jungles known for dramatic storms, gorgeous seaside sunsets, gleaming ancient cities built on millennia of history, and teeming with dangerous megafauna. They aren't wrong. However, beyond its seemingly inhospitable environment, Castrovel has flourished in the modern age of advanced technology. Three species—the telepathic lashuntas, insectile formians, and long-lived elves—founded the most prominent civilizations to spread across the jungle world. Connected by magical portals, known as aiudara, the nations of Castrovel have banded together to form a powerful coalition that cements their role within the wider Pact Worlds.
