The Universe is the prosaic realm and the home of mortal life. Innumerable galaxies contain countless stars and planets, each housing unique settings for any campaign, with the galaxy of Desna's Spiral as the classic example. The Pact System is the unofficial core of this galaxy, thanks to the presence of the Starstone, while countless other galaxies could be home to entirely different worlds, such as the distant solar system containing the planet Earth.
The Universe serves as the destination for pre-incarnate souls, each mortal life born, living, and dying before sending its spirit toward the planes of the Outer Sphere for judgment. The Universe is likewise the focus of the gods, each of whom is invested in fostering their particular portfolio among mortal worshippers on the countless worlds within.
